Payam Pedram is the founder and CEO of Ascendant Asset Advisors (AAA), an alternative investment firm specializing in strategies based on writing of options on liquid managed futures contracts.

Since its founding in 2005, the firm had at its peak assets under management of over $100 million and increased its product offering to six distinctive trading programs.  Since 2005, Mr. Pedram has developed multiple futures trading programs and algorithms. His achievements in the field have earned him recognition as one of the youngest top performing CTAs in the country.  Mr. Pedram has been featured in multiple publications and most notably was named CTA of the year in 2006 by Lind Waldlock.

Mr. Pedram brings extensive knowledge of options and futures trading, API Connectivity Trading, and Automated Trading. His technical expertise includes Microsoft certifications as a Systems Engineer, Business Solutions Partner, and Certified Professional.

Mr. Pedram earned a Bachelor’s degree in Management as well as an MBA in Finance from Pepperdine University.

He currently holds Series 65 and Series 3 licenses.
